This wall will contain all the murder victims since the ministry started in Durham in November of 2008. This idea came to me straight from the Lord! We started on it this morning (with the help of my buddies at United Graphics).
Already there have been people come in off the streets broken by seeing the names of family and friends. A prostitute who has been on the streets for a long time came in all excited to tell me that she will be starting a job at the newly renovated McDonald's next week. Jennifer stared up at the names on the wall and I thought she was going to start crying. She started saying "I really want to change, I really want to change but I don't know if I can". I could tell that she had a fear of being on that wall. I know also that she knew several people also. Another prostitute named April came in later and she too stared at the wall with a very straight face. She then looked at me and named three that were related to her in some way. She said "I am so glad that I am going to rehab next week". Another prostitute did not want to talk about the wall. Even with that it ministered to her! The following scripture that came to me really makes them think.....
Job 14:10 "But when people die, their strength is gone. They breathe their last, and then where are they?
This is exactly what the Lord showed me would happen! This is going to be an expensive project to complete. We could use your help! United has discounted the names to $10 each. Just the names will go cost us $500. Could you prayerfully consider helping us with 1? 5? 10? We know that the Lord is going to touch many more lives with this!
