HE THOUGHT HE WAS COMING IN TO SELL ME SOMETHING

1/14/2016

While I was at headquarters today I was trying to get things done so I could leave. I had people that kept coming in which of course is not a bad thing. When I was getting real close to leaving I noticed a very professional looking guy looking in the window which is not very common on Holloway Street. I opened the door then told him to come in. He said something about if I win people to Jesus here. Then he went in to his sales pitch. I sensed in my spirit that there was much more to this.

He started asking me spiritual questions and they were the kind that tries to justify one’s sin. He had also said that he too was a Christian and went to church in a neighboring city. The Holy Spirit revealed to me that he had a sex/lust problem. He started to tell me that he was struggling with some sin that he was NEVER going to be able to be set free from. I soon as he got the words out of his mouth I asked if one of his problems was lust. He downplayed it as “yea, that’s one of my problems” when this was going to turn out to what has been a massive problem for him. I told him to never say that there is a sin that he could not be set free from because what he was doing was giving the devil more power than the Lord and that is not possible!

He really started opening up to me as to what has been going on his life. His list contained cheating on his wife, strip joints, massage parlors, and lusts in his mind to go to other cities in the world that had a reputation for heavy sexual sin. He tried to say that the Lord knows that people are going to get involved in these things and that people can still be Christians “because everybody struggles”.  He tried to play the “once saved always saved card” which was a mistake. I asked him if he was aware that a person’s name can be removed from the Book of Life. He looked at me confused and said “that’s in there”. I said “yes, you’ll find it in Revelation 3:5.

Revelation 3:5 All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before My Father and His angels that they are Mine. - NLT

Revelation 3:5 Thus shall he who conquers (is victorious) be clad in white garments, and I will not erase or blot out his name from the Book of Life; I will acknowledge him [as Mine] and I will confess his name openly before My Father and before His angels. [Ps. 69:28; Dan. 12:1.] – Amplified

He went on trying to justify sin and I took him to the following…..

Matthew 24:12 Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. 13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

I told him that a person cannot line up to run a race then pull up half way raising their arms in victory. I told him that it is the same with a relationship with the Lord. You have got to keep the faith and finish well in the Lord’s eyes and obedience to the Word of God is the key.
He said “but” and I told him to wait a minute as I gave him this…..

Hebrews 3:14 For "IF" we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ.

Hebrews 3:14 For we have become fellows with Christ (the Messiah) and share in all He has for us, if only we hold our first newborn confidence and original assured expectation [in virtue of which we are believers] firm and unshaken to the end.

I explained these verses in detail and told him that I had a book in the works that had over 500 scriptures proving his belief wrong. I told him that I did not believe that he really believed what he was saying but hoped it to be true so that he could have his sin but not go to hell.
He then said “can I tell you some things”? I said “sure”. He went on to tell me how he had been a medical doctor across the country. He said that “he had been accused” of doing something sexual to a patient. He was placed in jail for it. He told me more of his sexual exploits. It was strange because he looked in my eyes and said “you don’t think I am saved do you”? I had started shaking my head no as soon as he said “you don’t think” because the Holy Spirit had revealed what was coming. When he finished the line I said “not for a minute”! He said “really”? I said “man, you are an adulterer and a fornicator among other things. I asked him when the last time he cheated on his wife was. He looked at the ceiling and started thinking out loud. He said “no that time was not cheating because it was only oral”. I said okay now don’t you start pulling that Bill Clinton stuff on me. Then he said “October” as tears welled up in his eyes and he looked so lost. A number of times he had said that he had to leave because his boss was going to be upset with him. I did nothing to hold him up other than answer question after question that he asked.

He told me of a couple “deals” that he had tried to work out with the Lord. It was like if the Lord did something for him then he would consider serving Him all the way. I said “man, think about it, you are pretty bold thinking that you can lay out ultimatums for God”! He said “then why won’t he just take it away”. He again said “I have to get going”. Then he wanted me to answer his question so I explained out free will to him. He then said “why can’t I just change”? I said “do you really want to know”? He said yes then I said “it is because you love sin more than you love Jesus”. He said “but I love Jesus”. I told him that he loves sin more or he would stop practicing it. Again, he had tears in his eyes. We went into a discussion about hell and I took him to the scriptures…..

Revelation 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no respite (no pause, no intermission, no rest, no peace) day or night

He was so entangled in sexual sin. To go from a medical doctor to a door to door salesman in East Durham! I asked him if he had any kids and he dropped his head saying “I have a 5 1/2 year old daughter. I told him that he was cheating on her too. He was done justifying and he was ready to listen. I told him that he only thought that he was coming in to try to sell me something but that I felt the Lord had led him to me. I told him that I was not even planning on being there when at the time he came in. The Holy Spirit had kept him there for over an hour!

He said he would do anything to be a doctor again. I said “really”? I said well, here you go just follow this scripture…..

Matthew 6:33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.

He said "the Lord can really do that" and I replied that of course He can do anything! He told me that he wanted to get with me again and that he really needed help. It was funny because I had Zeke (our dog) with me today and I had kept telling him to go lay on the couch but he kept coming back to us. He said “your dog doesn’t obey very well”. I thought “do you really want to get into who obeys better out of the two of you”, but I didn’t.

He again said that he had to leave then I stopped him as I said “wait a minute doctor, I am going to write you out a prescription”. I then started writing down a number of verses for him to study. I handed it to him and he smiled. Matthew 24:12 is true that sin is running rampant everywhere. It doesn’t matter if it a man in a nice suit or a prostitute with a heroin needle stuck in her arm. So many are on their way to hell all around us! This man is just like so many that sit in the pews on Sunday mornings! I tell these stories to hopefully wake others up too. I tell them that hopefully others will share their faith on a daily basis. HIS wish is that none should perish and if we are truly “in Him” that should be our desire also.

My Visit to the Hospice House

1/13/2016

As I left the Duke Regional Hospital to head just down the street to Hock Family Hospice I felt a nervousness come on me. In my flesh I would have been happy to never go in there again after all the feelings and emotions that took place back in November of 2011. Don’t get me wrong, I think that they do what they do well there. They did a great job with Eileen and we had no major complaints.

As I walked in the door I was taken back to all the locations. For those that do not know the story of how Angie ties into this I will tell of the things that I remembered so well. The first thing that I saw was the long table that I sat at with Angie toward the end when she asked me for an update on Eileen. During that conversation as I told Angie that she did not have long to live Angie placed her hand on mine. I did not think anything of it then other than her love and comfort which I feel that she would have done for anyone in that situation. This would come back to my mind at a later date. I did not have the relationship with Angie that Eileen had. I would talk to her very briefly as she came out to help with the ministry at times. Eileen would talk and talk about Angie after being with her. She would have me join her in prayer for Angie and the things she was going through. On several occasions I held hands in prayer with Eileen as she prayed for the Lord to put a godly man in Angie’s life. Eileen really loved Angie.

After I was told  the room number of the man I was there to see I started down the hall. I passed the visitors room that made me think of all those that visited and the many conversations I had there. I accidentally passed the room I was looking for and realized that I was at the door of the room Eileen had been in. There are so many memories in that room. I remembered the last time Eileen raised her tiny little arms to praise the Lord as the praise & worship music played. I remembered all the brokenness of the family. I remembered seeing Angie sitting there holding Eileen’s hand. There were so many other things that took place in that room.

After standing there for a short time I turned to go to visit Timmy. Timmy was a very troubled guy who I had many encounters with on the streets. He was a nice guy who had an awful problem with alcohol. I know that his sister will be reading this and I do not want to bring any hurt to her. As for anything that I post I pray that somehow, some way that it will help someone else in a similar situation they are doing through. I deal with so many people just like Timmy in nearly a daily basis. There are so many hurting families out there because of the loved ones being addicted to alcohol or drugs. As I sat in the chair beside Timmy’s bed looking at a man that I had talked to so many times I was so saddened to see in the condition he was in. As I tried to wake him so that we could talk there was only one time for seconds that he looked at me and attempted to talk. I asked him if he remembered me from Holloway Street and he said he did. He quickly went back to sleep and would mumble at times but never was able to communicate again. I believe that when I first met Timmy several years ago he had already severely damaged his body with the lifestyle he was living. I knew through our conversations that Timmy had, had a relationship with the Lord. Our last conversations he would talk much more of the Lord but I was trying to help him because he had hooked up with someone that had given him some false teachings. Timmy could be very stubborn, he did not want to hear me so he quit stopping by our headquarters. At his sister’s request I went and found him one day because she was in fear of his health and well-being. Timmy knew that day that I cared for him. I was glad to be able to bring his sister and brother in law the peace to know that he was okay at least for then. I prayed while beside his bed that even though to my knowledge right now he is still alive that he had true peace with the Lord. I will use the pictures and thoughts in my mind of Timmy to be able to minister to those that are in similar situations and pray that people will think about their end. Just last week the guy who was with Timmy the last time I seen him on the street stopped in and was talking me helping them that day. This was not about me at all other than being the messenger the Lord was using to work in this family and with his friends. I was torn as I stood up to leave and I must admit that I was angry with the devil that he had destroyed Timmy’s life and has and is destroying so many other lives.

As I was leaving my thoughts went back by that long table again. Something that the Lord had showed me when he was revealing that Angie would be my wife was her hand on mine at that table and Eileen’s hand in hers in her room. It would have been the furthest thought from my mind to think that when Eileen was praying for Angie’s husband that it would be me. I walked out of the building with so many thoughts racing through my mind but also as I looked at the van thinking I was done here for now which made me feel relieved. As I started to drive out of the parking lot yet another thought came to me and that was the emptiness that I felt 11-7-11 after I had gone in that room for the last time seeing Eileen’s shell laying there breathless. I was so happy for her that she was in the presence of the Lord, something we had so many conversations about toward the end. The feeling I had myself though was a feeling of being lost and not knowing what to do. After over 28 years with someone I loved so much it was over. Death is always a hard thing but I do not believe that there can be a worse time to go through it than with a spouse. I am not downplaying anyone else’s situation but a husband/wife relationship is such a close relationship if it is a solid relationship and ours truly was. Those reading this that have gone through it know what I mean. Again, I know that those that have lost children may feel that it the worst. With all respect, I am just telling the way I felt by my experience.

As I started to head home the Lord brought good thoughts to my mind. I then started thinking of how He has blessed me since then. I thought of my absolutely wonderful wife that he blessed me with. Angie is such an awesome woman who loves the Lord with all her heart. She has such a passion for making me happy. She has truly done that and continues to do it. We have a beautiful marriage and we are truly best friends! I know without a single doubt in my mind that the Lord answered Eileen’s prayer with a little smile on his face thinking “they would have never thought about it working out this way”. I am so glad and blessed today that we followed His plan. Angie and I believe that Eileen too was so happy also with the way things worked out. I praise the Lord for what He has done and continues to do in my life!

Psalms 30:5  Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.

Jeremiah 29:11  For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.

ETERNITY: A LONG TIME TO BE WRONG! A MUST READ!

1/12/2016

Picture
Yesterday was an extremely tough day! My trip to Durham Regional Hospital started the whirlwind of thoughts that I went through. I was visiting a 47 year old man who had been near death just a short time back. His father had called me and asked if I would visit his son. The first time I went up to see him he could not even talk. He had suffered a stroke on top of some other heavy health issues. His dad assured me that he knew the Lord. There was no way that I could communicate so for then I was taking his dad’s word. There are so many deceived people in this world! His dad is a very nice guy and very respectful but he like so many especially in this country are deceived when it comes to knowing what a true relationship with the Lord is.

2Timothy 3:5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly.

2Timothy 3:5 For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession].

I was very happy upon my arrival yesterday to find this man sitting up in bed and being able to communicate. He even remembered my name. As I began to talk to him about the Lord I knew very soon that he did not have a relationship with the Lord. If he would have died he would have gone straight to hell. People must remember that the devil “knows the Lord”.

James 2:19 You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror.

To know “of the Lord” and to “have a personal relationship” with Him are two extremely different things! The Holy Spirit revealed to me that true messengers of the Lord are also like “doctors”. We have the cure for people that if they take heed to it will keep them from spending eternity in hell. That cure of course is the Word of God and leading people to a “true relationship” with the Lord. The problem for us doctors is that people will not tell the truth about their true condition. They would not do this if they had a terminal condition and were talking to a medical doctor. They would want to get well. So many people do not place that the condition of their heart with Jesus as high as things that can go wrong with them physically on this earth. As one of the Lord’s doctors instead of going in to check their vitals I will go in to check “their fruit”.

Matthew 7:16 You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? 17 A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. 18 A good tree can't produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can't produce good fruit. 19 So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. 20 Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions.

There are so many people in hell today and so many more that are on their way because they are not honest about their “true relationship” with the Lord! There are so many “fake Christians” that occupy the pews of American churches on Sunday mornings! They have removed themselves from the “life support” that Jesus offers. Some are deceived into thinking because they once prayed a prayer that they “are good” and that they can live however they want. They think that “repeated prayer” gave them “fire insurance” that will keep them from eternal hell. How wrong they are! If you do not stay connected to the Lord you are in BIG ETERNAL TROUBLE!

John 15:4 Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in Me. 5 "Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in Me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing. 6 Anyone who does not remain in Me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned.

The problem lies with not everyone can see this. They can fake people out by knowing how to speak some “Christianese”. In other words they know the words that good Christians say. These scriptures are so fitting for so many that are in American churches…..

Matthew 15:8 These people draw near Me with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts hold off and are far away from Me.

Luke 6:46 "Why do you call Me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?

Titus 1:16 They profess to know God [to recognize, perceive, and be acquainted with Him], but deny and disown and renounce Him by what they do; they are detestable and loathsome, unbelieving and disobedient and disloyal and rebellious, and [they are] unfit and worthless for good work (deed or enterprise) of any kind.

It shocks me how many people take a disease such as cancer as and place it as a higher priority that their relationship with the Lord! In this country people will even change churches so that they can find other people with their same damaged heart condition that believe the lie that they are ok. This would be like someone having cancer and then they go and find another doctor that tells them that they do not have it and “are ok”. For example take the homosexual, they can go and find many churches today that will tell them it is ok. So even though “The Great Physician’s” word clearly says that they will die (eternally) the people will settle for the deceived false comfort of being told they have nothing to worry about. They will twist and turn God’s Word into what “they want to believe”.

2Timothy 4:3 For the time is coming when [people] will not tolerate (endure) sound and wholesome instruction, but, having ears itching [for something pleasing and gratifying], they will gather to themselves one teacher after another to a considerable number, chosen to satisfy their own liking and to foster the errors they hold, 4 And will turn aside from hearing the truth and wander off into myths and man-made fictions.

The devil sits back and laughs at the ignorance of professing Christians in this country. He has to be shocked at how easy it is to continue to lead so many Americans straight to hell! He has to be amazed that his same ole tricks continue to work in deceiving so many. For anyone reading this message today I pray that you are striving to walk in Holiness on a daily basis.

1John 2:6 Whoever says he abides in Him ought [as a personal debt] to walk and conduct himself in the same way in which He walked and conducted Himself.

1Peter 1:14 [Live] as children of obedience [to God]; do not conform yourselves to the evil desires [that governed you] in your former ignorance [when you did not know the requirements of the Gospel]. 15 But as the One Who called you is Holy, you yourselves also be Holy in all your conduct and manner of living. 16 For it is written, You shall be Holy, for I am Holy.

Hebrews 12:14 Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.

People must wake up to the scriptures above concerning Holiness! As much as it hurts us to accept that a loved one that was not striving to be Holy or walking in Holiness is in hell if they died, it is the truth. It is the truth no matter what false teacher or false doctrine you have come across! It is the truth no matter how many preachers that you have heard tell lies about people that have not lived for the Lord that sprouted angel wings and flew off to heaven. These lying so called preachers will stand in judgment one day before the Lord with blood dripping from their hands because they deceived people and failed to warn them of what was ahead!

Ezekiel 3:18 If I say to the wicked, You shall surely die, and you do not give him warning or speak to warn the wicked to turn from his wicked way, to save his life, the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at your hand.

No matter what they lied to you about concerning the person if they were not right with the Lord they went straight to hell! The Lord will examine people’s hearts.

Job 13:9 "Will it be well when He examines you? Or will you deceive Him as one deceives a man?

Is there a chance that at the very end people can cry out to the Lord? The answer of course is yes! I do not believe for a second that it happens as much as people think and hope it does. It is not a huge group of people that want to truly give their lives to the Lord and live for Him.

Matthew 7:13 "You can enter God's Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. 14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

1Peter 4:17 For the time [has arrived] for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will [be] the end of those who do not respect or believe or obey the good news (the Gospel) of God? 18 And if the righteous are barely saved, what will become of the godless and wicked?

I pray that you are striving to have a deeper and closer relationship with the Lord every day. I do not want my relationship the same as it was yesterday. I want to be drawing closer and closer to Him every day of my life. I want to be more like Him each and every day! This message (prescription) may very well be for you! If not, it may be for someone that you love that you do not want to see them end up in hell. Will you swallow the “Gos-pill” or will you go on thinking that you are ok? Repenting, admitting and quitting sin are the keys to getting right with the Lord! People must remember that they can fool and deceive man but there is no fooling God! He knows it all and one day we will be judged for everything we did while on this earth! Are you truly ready?

Romans 2:16 And this is the message I proclaim—that the day is coming when God, through Christ Jesus, will judge everyone's secret life.

Romans 14:11 For the Scriptures say, "'As surely as I live,' says the LORD, 'every knee will bend to Me, and every tongue will confess and give praise to God.” 12 Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God.

Hebrews 9:27 And just as it is appointed for [all] men once to die, and after that the [certain] judgment,

I will be attempting to sit down with a couple families soon to discuss what you are reading. So often as I have said we don’t want to face the truth. Some choose to go by what they want to believe. This can happen while other family members or friends stay deceived. People want to believe their family, their friends, their pastor or their denomination over what the Bible clearly states. If this is you then you sure “AS HELL” better make sure you are right!

Proverbs 16:25 There is a way that seems right to a man and appears straight before him, but at the end of it is the way of death.
No one is getting into heaven on their mama, daddy or grandparents relationship with the Lord. We must daily be looking at ourselves and make sure that we are truly right with Him! I have actually spoken to many that think they can ride into heaven on someone else’s shirt tail. How deceived they are!

2Corinthians 13:5 Examine and test and evaluate your own selves to see whether you are holding to your faith and showing the proper fruits of it. Test and prove yourselves [not Christ]. Do you not yourselves realize and know [thoroughly by an ever-increasing experience] that Jesus Christ is in you--unless you are [counterfeits] disapproved on trial and rejected?

We must pray daily and be in His Word. So many will believe whatever is told from a pulpit. We must make sure that the person up there is telling you the truth!

2Timothy 2:15 Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth.

Even with people like the apostle Paul coming and speaking to them the people of Berea checked them out according to scripture to make sure that they were not being deceived.

Acts 17:11 And the people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul's message. They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth.

I refuse to be like so many out there that are people pleasers. Just like anyone else I want people to like me but I refuse to do it at the expense of one day having to stand before my Lord and Savior and give account for every word that was spoken from my mouth.

Matthew 12:36 But I tell you, on the Day of Judgment men will have to give account for every idle (inoperative, nonworking) word they speak. 37 For by your words you will be justified and acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned and sentenced.

I do not want to make someone feel good on this earth then have them one day lift their eyelids to find themselves in hell for all eternity! There are masses of people in this country that are deceived into thinking that they are going to heaven. The American churches are filled with them. It is time for people to wake up before it is too late. I was so grieved in my spirit yesterday to be looking at this man that would have been in hell if he died. To know that there are so many out there in the same condition left me with a sick feeling the rest of the day and evening. It left me with more of a drive to reach the lost! It turns out that this man does not live very far from me and he told me that he wants my help. I question at this point if he really understands how crucial all of this really is but I pray that he will understand as we get together more.

There could not be more fitting scripture to wrap this up with than the following. I know after what I went through yesterday that the Holy Spirit dropped this message on me for someone to take heed to. Also I praise the Lord for the challenges of yesterday because I know that today I am a stronger person in Him and I know that I can be more effective in doing His work! Praise His mighty Name!

Galatians 1:10 Obviously, I'm not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ's servant. 11 Dear brothers and sisters, I want you to understand that the gospel message I preach is not based on mere human reasoning. 12 I received my message from no human source, and no one taught me. Instead, I received it by direct revelation from Jesus Christ.

Jail Report

1/8/2016

I had another awesome time of ministry today in the Durham County Jail. I started with a 16 year old that is accused of murder. He was very polite to me. I told him that if he wanted my help that I would do what I could for him. He was brought up in church but strayed. I believe that he is yet another victim of the "BM-BD Disease". That is "baby mama-baby daddy". What is happening is that in many more cases than not these kids do not have parental guidance. I witness this nearly every day! This is why you have kids as young as 12 year old doing home invasions! This is why you have 8 year old joining gangs! The grandmothers that once were the anchors of the families are not sucking on a crack pipe or shooting heroin! Someone must attempt to make a difference in these kids’ lives before they end up hurting someone or getting killed themselves. I am working with them inside and outside of the jail. For so many it is not their fault that they have not been given a chance at a decent life.

Next it was a guy who said that he is doing all the right things by teaching the Word of God and trying to direct the other inmates. He told me that he is in the jail because he is falsely accused. He kept talking about his wife then when we really started to get into what is going on in his life I found out that he wasn't really married. Like so many he has had "the fiancée" for years! We had a very good conversation but I had to show him that he has been living the life of a fornicator. He agreed with me that he needed to get his life right. I made it clear to him that if he did not repent of his lifestyle that he was on his way to hell regardless of how many he was trying to help. These people must be told the truth.

Next came a guy who I ministered to last week. When we met last week he had told me how everything was everyone’s fault and never did he claim any responsibility for his actions. He had requested to see me through a letter after coming to minister to his pod. I was very to the point with him after listening to his story. He wanted my advice so I gave it to him. I told him when he gets up in the morning that he should look in the mirror and he would see where all the fault lies. I explained to him that was he was going through was the fruit of HIS sin! Anyway, today he came in grinning from ear to ear! He had a breakthrough in his life and the Lord was really working in his life. He thanked me but I told him last week that the Holy Spirit had guided me in everything that I told him. It was the Lord speaking into his life and he is excited about the change. He is not blaming the system, the jail or anyone else but himself. I look forward to working with him much more in the future. The young man has great potential.

I went into the women’s pod next. I ministered to several prior to ministering to the mother of a Holloway prostitute who I have been ministering to for around five years. I tried to see her during the summer but she was released before I could get there. One of the other inmates went to tell her that I wanted to talk to her and I could tell that she wasn’t real keen on it but she came anyway. Her daughter has been a hardcore heroin addict. So many times I have sat with her and attempted to get her the help she needs. The daughter is currently incarcerated in another county. I was able to see many similarities in the mother and daughter. The very sad one was that they are both heavy duty drug addicts. The mom is a habitual felon drug addict at 54 years old. We had a great conversation. I talked to her about generational curses. I assured her that the Lord could take away all her mess if she would only COMPLETELY surrender to Him. She has two years of prison time to do then she wants to get with me to get into a solid Christian program to get her life turned around. I so much want to see her and her daughter happy. It is so heartbreaking to see people’s lives so destroyed. It was a blessing to see hope come to her when I said that we would help her when she gets out.

I spoke with a number of others with so many different situations going on in their lives. What the Lord had me speaking to them as I often do is complete surrender to the Lord will be the only thing that will change their lives. It is so sad that there are so many churches that are actually hurting these people by not standing on God’s Word! I am very familiar with these churches because I have worked with people that come out of them for over 7 years. There is a pattern with these people and many of them tell me the same stories. In our area we try to direct everyone to Shabach Outreach Ministries at the corner of Mangum and Corporation because we know that they preach the truth and also will spend one on one time to help people.

I was there for three hours yesterday and did not come close to seeing everyone that I needed to see. This seems to be the way it is there. I love ministering in the Durham County Jail and despite what the problem causers want to say, I strongly believe that Sheriff Andrews and his team are doing a fine job! Many people go on what they hear. I say this by experience and by spending many hours working inside of the jail. We must continue to infiltrate more JESUS!!!

WE NEED SOME HELP WITH HATS & GLOVES

We had a nice stock of hats and gloves for a long time but the supply is wiped out. We had ordered them several years ago from a company up in Pennsylvania. We have put together another order with awesome prices. Today we had so many people wanting gloves so I went to one place and they were sold out then the next place was $4 a pair. The hats were so thin I did not even by any. Here are the deals we get from Eros Wholesale.

Men's fleece gloves - 240 pair for $216. The cost per pair is .90 a pair. We must keep in mind that if a .90 pair of gloves or a hat opens the door to being able to share the gospel it is an awesome thing!

Proverbs 19:17 One who is gracious to a poor man lends to the LORD, And He will repay him for his good deed.

There were so many people out there yesterday and today without hats or gloves. It is sad to see people so bad off. The temperature is supposed to drop to 16 tonight!

As I said, the hats were so cheap in the stores I was in. Here we would be getting 120 hats for $150!

They do bump up the shipping a bit ($75) but we can get all of this for a total of $441.92. With this we would be in good shape for a while. We have a break in the cold weather but it returns again next week. We need to do this every couple years to keep our supply up. The prices are hard to beat and the quality has always been good from this company.
