This is just one of the many things that I see in East Durham that means something even if the person is not there. I wonder if someday this chair will mean a remembrance of Jennifer because she will get killed on these streets like 6 other prostitutes that I have known did. I pray not! I go by the many murder scenes and remember those friends that are no longer here. With Jennifer I wonder often what goes through her troubled head. So much she wants to be loved and accepted. What went on in her life to make her do what she does today? So many other prostitutes and people on the streets of East Durham will "throw stones" at her life. One, because of her being HIV positive. Is this right that she is out there in this condition? Absolutely not! Some will just put it out there that her sin is worst than theirs. Sorry! Sin is sin! There are so many people that want to judge others so harshly but I doubt if they would want the same judgment they are dishing out to be placed on them.
When Angie and I got back to see her not there, we were trying to decide what to do with the food. We decided to leave it in the chair because most likely she would be right back to her spot. Her friend rode up on his bicycle just when we were getting ready to leave and I believe that he would keep her food for her. We hope that she did. We hope that she lives to see another day out there. She is so troubled! Again, many would see a chair with food in it in the picture. There is so, so much more to it. Please pray that Jennifer will be set free of the tormented life she is living. To many including me is seems impossible in our thinking. We do not operate in our thinking or in the IMpossible, we operate in the HIMpossible!
PLEASE KEEP JENNIFER IN YOUR PRAYERS!
