It has been over a month since our last post on the site. There is good and bad in that. The good thing is that the ministry is booming and time has been limited. The bad thing is when the awesome things are not posted no one knows what is going on. I have apologized many times for this but the truth of the matter is that we are stretched thin with manpower in this ministry. So much goes on that none of our small team can stretch themselves much further. We have other areas that we can not get to like we want to. This is all life in the ministry and we are good with that. We will do our best to seek the Lord in all things and do better where we can. With all of that I am trying to somewhat get caught up today in letting everyone know just how awesome things have been. - Pastor Terry
Darlene and her husband Lewis manage our new HolyWay Cafe. They are doing a fantastic job with Darlene heading up all that it takes to feed all that come into the door and Lew making repairs, building shelves and doing whatever else needs to be done. Chaplain Vinny Abbruscato fills in wherever he can. Vinny too is extremely dedicated and does a great job in this ministry. Jo Bradway and Lori Sexton have been a huge blessing! We are starting to get others that have a heart for what our ministry does. Here are Darlene's post on what is going on.
Please Matthew 9:37 He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few.
November 19 at 3:46pm · The HolyWay Cafe on Holloway Street has become a place of peace, refuge, and ministry. This morning alone we served around 30 individuals. Male and female prostitutes, homeless, addicts, and some just plain down and out were fed not only food for their body but were given the Bread of Life. It is such a privilege to love and minister to those the Lord brings in. What a blessing as at one point this morning I looked and two men who had already eaten were sitting with their Bibles open, studying God's Word.
Please pray for the ministry of Bull City Outreach and the work of the HolyWay Cafe. Without the Lord and His anointing we simply cannot do what we do. It is my heart's desire that we see many come to Jesus, repent, and turn from their sinful lifestyles to a live a life honoring Him. We want to be able to disciple those who make a commitment for Christ. We need HELP! Pastor Terry Shuff, Chaplain Vinny Abbruscato and I simply cannot do it all. We need people who can come help in the Cafe. At this time I am doing all the cooking. Its hard to minister and handle all the cooking at the same time. The cafe is open from 9-1 Monday through Friday. If you have a morning you can volunteer to help, contact me and let's see what we can schedule. As with any ministry outreach such as this we are always in need of things like paper towels, napkins, paper plates, etc. in addition to sodas, water, homemade cookies and cakes. We serve more breakfasts than anything and can always use eggs, pancake mix, bread and the like. At this time we have been blessed with a great source of meat, but can always use vegetables to put with the meat for casseroles and soups. Folks, time is short! It is not God's desire that any be lost. We must reach the lost!
Luke 10:2 - He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. New International Version (NIV)
