I was at the gas station this week when a young couple pulled into the pump across from me. As they passed me they were staring and smiling. My thought was that they were Christian and just liked the van. As I continued to pump gas they continued to look at me. I then walked over and as I often do I said "I will pay for your gas if you pay for mine". He laughed and said that he would pay for his own. Then he asked me "how many of those vans do you all have in Durham"? I said that this is the only one and it travels 300-400 miles on an average hardly ever leaving the city. He continued along with his girlfriend looking at me with a little smirk on their face. I thought this to be strange.
He then said "do you want to see something"? Then he held his phone up to me revealing this picture of the van that was posted to Instagram by one of his friends. It is a picture of the van parked at the Durham County Jail. He then asked "are you the police"? I told him no and told him that this is something that has followed me for many years. I have told many that they could frisk me and go through the van if they wanted. We had a nice conversation and I stressed the importance for them to have a true relationship with JESUS! I asked him to send me this picture and I am so thankful that he did. He also replied with a comment saying that they enjoyed talking with me.
At a militant march that we had this week in the city that I attended I received some "F you cop" comments. I have been contacted several times by people that have seen this. The devil will do anything to attempt to keep people away from me. The Lord has also shown me how this has been a protection over me with people thinking this. As with so many of the devils attempts I have to laugh that he is so lame in some of the things he does!
