We are coming off of what has been our busiest summer of ministry. So many times I have apologized for not keeping the blog up to date. With some new changes we are making again I believe that I will be able to do better. We have seen absolutely awesome things happen in people’s lives since our Ministry Marathon back in May. We still have people doing very well that made a decision to change their lives for Jesus back then. We praise the Lord for what He is doing in this ministry! In all five phases of the ministry we are working in people’s lives! At our Headquarters on Holloway, in the Durham County Jail, in the Durham County Courts System, on the streets and at murder scenes. We have recently taken on trying to help in the Juvenile Courts. The pre 18 youth are extremely dangerous today with the gangs and crime they are getting involved in.

I was at the scene of a murder a week ago where the 27 year old was still lying in the street. I ministered to a group of people telling them as I pointed to the body that in a short time love ones and friends will be notified of his death. Regardless of the life that he lived it is sad that it had to end so early. I told them that no one of us were promised tomorrow and strived the importance of living their lives for Jesus!

Off of that group conversation I had several that came to me that wanted to talk one on one about their lives. I have that happen often at murder scenes. I still have a number of family members of murder victims that I have become friends with and I continue to minister into their lives.

Last week there was a 21 year old that I ministered to while he was in jail that committed suicide “by cop”. This one as many others in the past has really bothered me. As I pulled up to the scene a young man yelled at me. I had ministered to him while he was in jail and he told me that I knew the victim also from the jail. It is always a strange feeling to wonder who it is going to be. A young man is gone because he had problems that he couldn’t seem to work through. I pray that the Lord will use me and the rest of the team to be able to cross the path of people like him. I do so many one on ones in the jail. I so much wish that I could have done one with him before he got out.

Here is a picture of the toy gun.
I was praying last week about my schedule for the day and the Lord laid a guy heavy on my heart to go and see. When I went to see him he looked at me kind of amazed. He then said that he had been thinking about me and that he had been contemplating hanging himself because of his girlfriend breaking up with him. After ministering the truth to him about what happens to suicide victims he knew that was not what he wanted to do. He was reaching out for help more than anything. He has been getting into the Word now also. I will continue to work with him.
Just a few weeks ago we were at the scenes of where 12 people were shot in less than a week. The devil knows that his time is short and he is trying to destroy as many lives as he can.
John 10:10 "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
We will continue to go and minister the Word of God wherever he is working. We have been working heavily in the McDougald Terrace projects this summer. So many kids are on the streets out there late at night. So many of them stand little chance of having a good life unless we reach them for Jesus. The devil is trying everything to destroy the little ones.
Luke 10:2 And He was saying to them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.
Please continue to lift this ministry up in prayer and we thank all those that pray for us and financially support us! God Bless!
